How secure is Intercoastal My Mortgage?
Security and accuracy are our top priorities. SimpleNexus has built strong security measures throughout their entire Digital Mortgage Platform. From providing a way to securely scan loan documents, to data encryption, and assuring the security of data in the cloud, SimpleNexus has you covered. Borrower data vulnerabilities, in transit and at rest, are managed with advanced mobile/web application and data center encryption. Submitting your information through Intercoastal My Mortgage is significantly more secure than emailing, faxing or mailing copies of your bank statements.
Who can see my login credentials?
No one! Most of your account data, including your login credentials, is never accessible or visible to anyone – not even your lender or SimpleNexus employees. Protecting your privacy and the security of your accounts is our top priority.
Why does my lender need my bank statements in the first place?
To process your application and assess your ability to afford the payments required by your loan, your lender needs to verify what asset accounts you own and confirm their account balances. In addition, laws, regulations, and underwriting guidelines require lenders to evaluate things like monthly cash flow, size, and frequency of deposits and whether you have bounced any checks.
SimpleNexus securely transmits your account data in a digital report to the lender. This lets lenders make better and faster decisions, which can make credit cheaper and more available for consumers.
What exactly does my lender see?
Your lender receives the documents you securely scan and upload, including W-2s, paystubs, bank statements, tax returns, and drivers license, along with other documents they may request to expedite your loan process. Because these documents are securely sent directly to the lender’s loan origination system, you never need to worry about phone or cloud hacks.
What do I have to share with my lender?
At a minimum, your lender will ask you to share data from your primary checking account, W-2s, paystubs, bank statements, tax returns, and drivers license, but may ask for additional documents to secure and expedite your loan.
Why aren’t my login credentials working?
There are a few possibilities. It’s possible that you made a mistake while entering your credentials, or that you are not using the right ones. You can always reset your password at the login page, using the email address you signed up for Intercoastal My Mortgage with. If all else fails, please contact your lender!
What if I don’t have a smart phone?
You can use Intercoastal My Mortgage from any computer or tablet. Simply navigate to the site as directed by your lender and login as prompted. From there, you can use the same functions as the mobile app: mortgage calculators, document sharing, and timely milestone updates.
What do I do if I was logged out before completing my loan application?
If you were logged out or if your browser crashed before you finished, you can re-enter the Intercoastal My Mortgage system using the link in the original email you got from your lender. If that doesn’t work, contact your lender to request a new link.
What if I have multiple open loans at the same time?
Customers can utilize their single Intercoastal My Mortgage account to navigate between multiple loans and loan applications in their portal and accomplish the following:
- Start, submit, and access multiple applications and have each loan automatically link to their account
- Upload documents or complete other tasks to accompany each specific loan file
- Sign eConsent and Disclosures individually for each loan
