Giving back is a huge part of what we do at Intercoastal Mortgage Company (ICM). We are passionate about helping others and encourage our employees to give back. Each year, our employees volunteer their time and resources to worthy causes.
Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia is known for investing in the community by providing affordable homes to low-income Northern Virginia families and by providing giving people in need access to inexpensive home-building materials. In honor of ICM’s 30th anniversary, we participated in a local build alongside Habitat for Humanity Northern Virginia.
Comfort Cases is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing foster care children ages 0-21 with comfort items and essentials for everyday living. In 2017, ICM employees worked tirelessly through July and August to donate and collect items, then put them in 100 Comfort Cases. The cases benefited foster care children ages 18-21.
Intercoastal Mortgage Company was proud to be the sponsor at the Joseph’s House Healing Garden Dedication.
Opened in 1990 in response to the AIDS crisis in Washington, DC, Joseph’s House offers a welcoming community and comprehensive nursing and support services to homeless men and women with advanced HIV disease and terminal cancer.
HomeAid Northern Virginia is a successful and dynamic non-profit that builds and renovates housing and shelter facilities for the organizations that own or operate them. A typical baby needs 10-12 diapers a day, and toddlers need approximately 8 diapers. But because diapers are not covered by social welfare systems like WIC or food stamps, and are considered “hygiene items,” 36 percent of mothers living in poverty regularly run out of clean diapers for their infant.
A community of compassionate volunteers dedicated to linking essential donations to families in crisis throughout NOVA. By focusing on families and filling in the gaps, TCF is committed to helping those who are helping themselves.
ICM donated laptops to underserved who will greatly benefit from technology. Intercoastal also purchased new hard drives and power cords for each machine.
Each December, ICM employees shop for gifts listed on the ornaments hung on the lobby tree. Each ornament features a holiday wish from kids in our community hoping for a brighter holiday!
Serving over 2,300 children each season, Our Neighbor’s Child unites the community to ensure that every child has a holiday season filled with joy.
