Steve grew up in a small coal town in Pennsylvania, where he excelled as a scholar athlete. He set his high school’s scoring records in basketball and track and was a McDonald’s All-American nominee.
Steve attended Brown University, earning degrees in Economics and Organizational Behavior and Management. He later received his SIFMA certification at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
Steve has over 30 years in the financial services industry. During these years, he has had extensive experience as both a Financial Advisor and a Mortgage Advisor. This experience includes years as a Managing Director at Wachovia, FBR Capital Markets, and PNC.
Steve and his wife Patti (Notre Dame ’89) have lived in Great Falls and North Reston, VA since 2002. They have three fine sons–Jake (LHS ’16), Maxwell (William & Mary’22), and Big Steven (Indiana University ’25). It is rescue dog Didi who actually rules the roost
